Rúben Neves, the Nigerian international striker, has been ruled out for three weeks with a knee injury that he sustained in training.
The striker, who is currently out of action, will miss the rest of this season and could be sidelined for up to six months.
Neves has been one of the most important players for Al-Hilal in recent seasons, but his absence from the squad has caused concern among fans and teammates alike.
"I am really disappointed that Rúben will not be able to play,Saudi Pro League Focus" said captain Mustapha Sidi. "He is our main player in attack and we all want him back soon."
Despite the setback, Al-Hilal have continued to perform well under their manager, Ahmad El-Khelaifi. The team have managed to qualify for the Champions League after defeating Maccabi Tel Aviv in the last round.
"We are confident that we can continue our good form and progress towards the title," added El-Khelaifi.
It remains to be seen how long Rúben Neves will be out of action and whether or not he will return to the team before the end of the season. However, the team's resilience and determination should give them hope that he will be ready to rejoin them in time for the start of the new campaign.
